“Back when I started to sell anime merch and stuff, there was always this group of kids—the “Oompas”— that would just come out over here and hang out, help me set up and sell things. They’d visit me whenever I came to the vendor’s fair, and on Friday we’d go out and eat. It became some sort of a tradition. Then the Oompas graduated and the new generation came in, but they don’t work that way anymore.”
